It's easy to become frustrated when you're a parent.

You tell your kids not to do something, and with ten seconds elapsed they have done exactly what you asked them not to do.

It happens, every, single, day; it's part and parcel of the daily struggle that is parenting.

However, it also plays a huge role in our children's development.

While you tell them not to do something, sometimes curiosity gets the better of our little tots, but they'll eventually learn there's a reason why you said no.

That is why it was incredibly refreshing to hear of a youngsters slushee accident while out shopping with his dad.

Kalynne Marie was sitting in a store cafe, catching up on some work when she saw a young boy, Gus, dropped his slushee.

"I just witnessed a boy, maybe about 6 or 7, accidentally spill a slushee everywhere. I'm talking blue and red goop all over the floor, the table, everywhere."

"The boy looked up at who I assume was his father, and immediately apologised. Instead of getting angry, his father just said 'Hey, it happens'."

The boy's father, Joe, took his young boy to get some napkins, hoping to teach his son how he can clean up after his 'mess' together.

Joe explained: "You're going to be a human being for a long time, and you have such a smart brain that it's important you learn how to be more aware of what you're doing."

"Accidents like these can be prevented, but it's still okay if they happen. As long as you take responsibility for your mistakes, the clean up is a breeze."

Kalynne who is a single mum to a two-year-old exclaimed: "I have no words. That is parenting done right."

Joe went on to teach Gus a very important lesson: "I know big messes seem overwhelming and you might feel like you can't do it by yourself, but it's always okay to ask for help."

"There is no problem with asking for help when you need it," we couldn't have explained it better ourselves. We'll be thinking twice in future before we allow our frustration to get the better of us.
