Kids grow up so fast making it so important to spend as much time with them in the early years as possible, something that this father is starting to realise.

Mission Impossible actor Tom Cruise is reportedly fed up with the Church of Scientology as it is thought it is making him miss aspects of his daughter, Suri’s, life.

According to reports, Tom, who divorced Katie Holmes in 2012, feels like he is missing out on quality time with his daughter, and plans on taking her with him when he promotes Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation.

A source told Hollywood Life: “Tom has been under tremendous pressure where Suri and Katie are concerned because the church doesn’t want him close to them. They can’t stand that their own poster boy isn’t raising his child in the church. If they label Suri a suppressive person (a Scientology term for an enemy of the church), as they’ve been known to do with dissenters, that would make it hard for Tom to have a relationship with her. He’s between a rock and a hard place, but he’s finally making a choice to put his daughter first."

“Tom has missed birthdays, school events, all the special parts of childhood that happen so fast and are gone before you know it. Suri is not a baby anymore; she is fully aware that her father isn’t around much. When she speaks to him on the phone, it’s becoming more and more like she’s talking to a stranger,” the source continued.

When Katie and Tom announced their split, rumours started circling that the Dawson’s Creek actress had left him to protect their daughter from the religion, rumours the 52-year-old has always denied: “I find it very offensive. There is no need to protect my daughter from the religion.
