In normal circumstances specks in front of the eye are nothing to worry about and everyone experiences them occasionally.  These specks are known as floaters and occur most commonly when people feel light headed or are looking directly at a light background. Floaters are little specks of debris which float through the vitreous fluid in the eye. They drift through the vitreous fluid following the rapid movements of the eye.
