1. Great North Snowdogs in Tyneside

 

 

Visitors to the North East this autumn will be led on the largest public art trail of its kind ever to be held in the region – by a pack of Great North Snowdogs.

 

For 10 weeks, from September to November, streets, parks and open spaces across Sunderland, Gateshead and Tyneside, will become home to 60 giant Snowdog sculptures and over 100 little Snowdogs.

 

Snowdogs is inspired by the story The Snowman™ and The Snowdog, by Raymond Briggs and at 1.5m high, the large Snowdogs sculptures, will each have been individually decorated by professional artists.

2. FREE Children's Ballet Trial Class in Morden and Colliers Wood

 

 

Since their launch in January, the Motion Arts Dance Academy in Morden has grown quickly and they are now expanding their range of classes to offer more budding ballerinas an opportunity to explore the magic of one of their fun and imaginative classical ballet sessions.

 

All children from two years upwards are welcome to join them on Tuesday, September 13th for a FREE trial class, either in their new venue in Morden on Tuesday afternoons or alternatively Saturday mornings in Colliers Wood.

3. Costume Weekend at Oxburgh Hall in Norfolk

 

 

Oxburgh Hall in Norfolk has Costume Weekend to re-create 15th century life.

 

Their costumed volunteers have re-created 15th century life at Oxburgh. Setting up an encampment on the terrace, they illustrate what life would have been like when the hall was built. With craft displays and demonstrations, costumes to try and a fire cooking their lunch.
