Being busy mums, concealer is one of our favourite make-ups and we couldn’t possibly go anywhere without it! And while most of us just dab a little to cover any spots or blemishes, there is actually more to it than that.

In order to make it work to its full potential, make sure you take note of the following hacks:

1. Foundation or concealer first?

If you apply your foundation over your concealer you’ll end up just wiping most of it off – foundation first; concealer second. Always.

2. Helps keep your eyeshadow in place

Dabbing a little concealer onto your eyelid acts like a primer - helping to keep it in place.

3.  Work your green concealer

Green is the colour to use if you are trying to cover a spot, but there is a certain way to apply it! Always dab a little right on top of your blemish before covering it with a concealer that matches your skin tone.

4. Orange works well for under eyes

If you are trying to hide the fact that you didn’t get much sleep last night, dab an orange colour concealer over the black lines to hide them.

5. Line your lips to stop your lipstick bleeding

After you have applied your lipstick, dab your lipliner brush into your conceal and go around your lips – this will also make the colour pop.

6. Dab with your ring finger

Always dab the concealer in with your ring finger - this will give enough pressure to blend the make-up in.
