Remember the more ordinary Barbie who came out a few years ago? Well, now the maker of the Lammily doll is ready to release a ‘normal’ Ken doll too! But he needs your help.

Nickolay Lamm’s Lammily doll went viral nearly three years ago after the artist introduced a doll with the body of an average 19-year-old woman.

The aim was to prevent young girls from developing unrealistic expectations of beauty. She also comes complete with spots, cellulite and stretch marks!

Now, to join her, the creator has launched a crowd-funding campaign for a male version of the doll.

The male Lammily doll has the average proportions of a 19-year-old.

As the campaign site states: “He may not have a six-pack, but he has a fantastic sense of humour. He may not have the biggest biceps, but he has a big heart. He may not look like a runway model, but he values himself for who he truly is, and always makes sure to pay the same respect to others!”

Lamm told E! News in 2014 that he was hoping to make a male doll, too.

“I feel like a lot of toys are all about fantasy, like we as adults, we love that as well,” he said.

“Reality is cool. After all, it’s all we have. Why not appreciate it more? Even though it’s not perfect, it’s still beautiful.”
