We live in an age where technology reigns; it doesn’t matter if our kids are eating, watching TV or doing their homework – you’ll be lucky to get that phone out of their hands.

This was proven in the most amusing way at baseball game in the States earlier this week, when the announcer drew attention to a group of sorority sisters in the crowd who all happened to be engrossed in their phones at that very moment - and throughout much of the game.

Laughing at the fact that “every girl in the picture is locked into her phone”, the announcer raises a very valid point – this is what parents are faced with each and every day!

The footage from Thursday night’s game quickly went viral, with home team the Arizona Diamondbacks and Fox Sports going on to offer the girls tickets to their next game.

In an admirable gesture however, the girls decided to save their blushes by giving up their tickets!

“Alpha Chi Omega at Arizona State University would like to thank the Arizona Diamondbacks and Fox Sports for reaching out to the chapter after last night’s game and subsequent media frenzy. However, instead of chapter members attending the game, we have asked the Diamondbacks and Fox Sports to provide tickets to a future game for families at A New Leaf, a local non-profit that helps support victims of domestic violence,” they said in a statement.

Check out the footage below – does it look familiar?
