We all get colds but, unfortunately, as busy mums we just have to soldier on as normal.
For the men in our lives, however, it can often seem like the world is about to end when they start to come down with a ‘man cold’.
Let’s face it; we deal with illness a little differently than our partners – and Meredith Masony has captured the discrepancy perfectly.
In a video entitled ‘The Man Cold v The Mum Cold’, Meredith – who blogs at ‘That’s Inappropriate’ – portrays what life is like when both she and her man are suffering.
Whereas she is still running around after the children, cleaning the house and preparing the meals; her other half is at death’s door, begging her to come and rub his back and make him chicken soup!
“I know that you feel like you’re going to die, but you’re not going to die. I will dig a hole, kick you into the hole and cover you up – you just have a cold,” grunts Meredith, with an armful of laundry.
Throughout the hilarious sketch, she is seen returning time and time again to the bedroom to check on Hubby’s MANY ailments.
“I understand that you’re achy. I’m achy too – I’m doing laundry,” she says, as her other half contemplates his impending doom.
We’re not one bit surprised to see that this video has racked up 19 million hits in just over a week – it’s just too relatable!
