According to the US version of OK!, the 42-year-old is expecting twins with her husband Benji Madden and told him on New Year’s Eve.
While the reports have yet to be confirmed or denied by the couple, according to a source: “She’s been gaining weight, which she knows is just part of expecting a child, but she feels she’s packing on pounds pretty quickly, especially considering how in shape she is. She was googling ‘weight gain in the first trimester’ and read that women having multiples gain earlier than those who are only having one child.”
The source added: "She’s also been suffering quite badly from morning sickness, and that’s another sign she could be having more than one. It all started to come together.”
Benji is a twin so the possibility of the 42-year-old having multiples is not far off and the source added that the actress is daunted by the prospect, saying: “The thought of twins has been a little daunting for Cameron though she’s said she’s hoping for a boy and a girl.”
The There's Something About Mary star has always been vocal about children, previously saying she's not going to become a mother just because it is expected.
Until the couple confirm the news themselves this is definitely a case of watch this space.
