It’s already a month since Heidi Montag and husband Spencer Pratt announced the wonderful news that they are expecting their first child, and they have shared a lovely update with the world this week.
The former stars of The Hills have revealed that they are expecting a son together!
The reality stars confirmed the news in the latest issue of Us Weekly, with mum-to-be Heidi recalling the beautiful moment they found out they are having a boy – while Spencer was almost asleep!
“I ran into the room and said, ‘It’s the doctor’s office! The doctor said, ‘It’s a boy!’ I started screaming,” she gushed.
Heidi, who is 17 weeks along her pregnancy journey, went on to share that she was dreaming of a baby boy all along – although she and Spencer had previously decided that the baby’s health was all that mattered.
She said: “It was in my heart to have a boy. I thought Spencer really used to want a boy, and then a few months ago we had a conversation where he said, ‘Let’s just make sure it’s healthy. Boy or girl, I don’t care.’”
Heidi also admitted that she is hoping to be graced with more than one child.
“I hope to have a little girl one day, but for my first child, I really wanted a son. I’m hoping to God that we don’t just have one, but if we do, I wanted a son. I thought it’d be a more natural bond for Spencer since he and his dad are so close,” she divulged.
And while Spencer is ‘really excited’ at the prospect of impending fatherhood, Heidi revealed that she is already looking forward to discovering whether her little one is into ‘dinosaurs, Mickey Mouse or ballerinas’.
We are so excited for the couple. It’s been a rocky road for them in Hollywood, but it seems like they are overjoyed at the prospect of becoming parents.
They announced their lovely baby news in April, sharing the big reveal with a front-page feature on Us Weekly.
“I started crying, and he [Spencer] embraced me,” said an emotional Heidi, at the time.
