She previously admitted that she had ‘regrets’ over her decision to go under the needle, and it seems Courteney Cox has taken decisive action to return to a more natural look.

The 53-year-old shared her views on cosmetic surgery and aging gracefully in a refreshingly honest interview, with New Beauty magazine.

“I’ve had all my fillers dissolved. I’m as natural as I can be,” the former Friends star admitted.

Courteney, who is mum to 13-year-old daughter Coco with ex-husband David Arquette, revealed that the move had had a positive impact on her life and confidence.

“I feel better because I look like myself. I think that I now look more like the person that I was before. I hope I do,” she said, candidly.

“Things are going to change. Everything’s going to drop. I was trying to make it not drop, but that made me look fake.”

In a time when so many celebrities are denying their surgeries, it’s so refreshing to hear Courteney speaking so honestly about her experience. We are sure there are so many women out there who can relate not only to her changing view on surgery, but also her path to self-acceptance.

The star, who is engaged to Snow Patrol musician Johnny McDaid, revealed that her relationship with plastic surgery began slowly – but quickly escalated.

“The next thing you know, you’re layered and layered. You have no idea, because it’s gradual until you go, ‘Oh, s***, this doesn’t look right.’

“You need movement in your face, especially if you have thin skin like I do. Those aren’t wrinkles – they’re smile lines. I’ve had to learn to embrace movement and realise that fillers are not my friend.”

Courteney’s latest comments come almost a year after she first touched on the personal subject, during an episode of Running Wild With Bear Grylls.

The mum got emotional as she reflected on her attitude towards aging in such an image-focused industry.

“I think I was trying to keep up with getting older, and trying to chase something you can’t keep up with,” she explained.

“You sometimes find yourself trying, and then you look at a picture of yourself and go, ‘Oh God, I look horrible!’

“You know, I have done things that I regret, and luckily, they’re things that dissolve and go away.”

We applaud Courteney for sharing her story so honestly with women all over the world.
