There is definitely World Cup fever in the air, but not everyone is glued to the TV set watching the matches. While more and more girls are getting involved in sports, especially football, not every little girl is that keen on kicking a ball around.

However, Lottie, the multi award-winning ‘pro girl’ doll, who has  a healthy childlike body shape and doesn’t wear make-up, jewellery or heels, is helping to inspire girls’ interests in football with the release of free World Cup printable activities. This way they can feel involved in the hype even if they have no real interest in watching a match.

Parents can download and print out a set of themed paper Lottie doll illustrations that allow children to dress Lottie in football kits inspired by the 32 teams taking part in the World Cup 2014.

The launch of the printables follows the release of the Girls United Lottie football kit accessory set, which has been designed to complement the Lottie range and challenge the conventional gender stereotypes set upon girls, by exploring inspiring, empowering and adventurous themes.

The football themed paper dolls help encourage girls’ interest in football in a positive, fun and accessible way and promote a healthy body shape.  The practical football coaching tips aim to encourage girls to get out there and be active and sporty – just like Lottie.

The football-themed printables are available for download here.
