Now this gave us a much needed Monday morning giggle.

You know the way perfume ads are usually these OTT affairs, with famous actors or models generally wearing glam outfits (or nothing at all in the words of Ned Flanders), breathily saying the name of the scent?

Well bearing all this in mind we were surprised at posh Italian label Prada’s new perfume name.

Nope, it’s not ‘Desire’ or ‘Sensuality’ or even ‘Eroticism’ – it’s ‘Use The Escalator’.

We’re not sure what Prada is trying to say. Perhaps that we deserve to indulge in some escalator action because stairs are only for the hoi polloi? Or that moving steps are like, so hot right now?

Of course we’re joking. It’s actually a helpful poster by Westfield Shopping centre in London, directing customers where they should use the escalators – and it’s BY Prada, as in next to it.

Brilliantly, the positioning of the text beside the woman in the LBD makes it look like an advertisement for the brand's newest scent, as was spotted by Twitter user Joe Harland who captioned the poster, “Worst. Perfume. Name. Ever.”

What’s next? ‘Don’t Walk In The Grass’ by Dior? ‘Wet Paint’ by Emporio Armani? Gucci ‘Don’t Feed The Pigeons’?

SHARE if this gave you a laugh!
