While adults know exactly what they are letting themselves in for when they head for the bright lights of Hollywood, this isn’t the case for their children, and it’s not always easy for them to stomach life in the spotlight.

This seems to be the case for young Samuel Affleck, the four-year-old son of actors Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck.

Appearing on The Dr. Oz Show this week, Jennifer revealed that her youngest child ‘hates’ the paparazzi and has a very tough time dealing with their near constant presence in his life.

“Of all my kids, he hates them the most. He hates them,” said the Dallas Buyers Club star, who is also mum to 10-year-old Violet and seven-year-old Seraphina.

In possibly one of the saddest revelations of Jennifer’s recent interviews, the mum-of-three admitted that she and her young family have just resigned themselves to the fact that they will always have to deal with paparazzi intrusion in their lives.

Jennifer went on to reveal what she tells her son, to tackle the issue: “We just have to live our lives, son, and do the best we can. And you know what? That is something he’s going to have to grow up with, because if we move to Timbuktu, some fool in Timbuktu’s going to buy a camera and follow us around, if they can make a living off of it.”

The former star of Alias has spoken very candidly about her family life in the wake of her divorce from Ben Affleck, at all times insisting that their children are their priority.
