They may have called time on their 10-year marriage, but it’s clear that relations are still very cordial between Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck.

The Dallas Buyers Club star couldn’t help but heap praise on her estranged husband in a recent interview, as she recalled the ‘sweet’ gesture he made for their son’s fourth birthday.

Explaining how Samuel had asked for a superhero-themed party on the day, February 27, Jennifer revealed that Ben – who stars in the upcoming movie Batman v. Superman – pulled out all of the stops for his youngest child.

In an interview with Extra, the mum-of-three said: “We all dressed up. I dressed up as a ninja, and Ben dressed up as Batman for Sam, which was the best dad moment in history. It was pretty sweet.”

Jennifer’s comments come just a week after she broke her silence on their split, in an interview with Vanity Fair.

Insisting that her three children are her priority right now, Jennifer said that she had no regrets about her 10-year marriage to her Daredevil co-star.

“I didn’t marry the big fat movie star; I married him. And I would go back and remake that decision…You can’t have these three babies and so much of what we had. He’s the love of my life. What am I going to do about that?” she said.

It’s refreshing to see a couple co-parenting so successfully.
