If you have a technical whizzkid, gaming fanatic or even a kid with just a budding interest in the world of computers on your hands, then Fire Tech Camps will be right up their street!

With recent research establishing a link between video game use and better social skills and school performance, Fire Tech Camp seek to provide children with an insight into the world of technology while surrounded by like-minded peers.

From building apps, video gaming, coding and pushing their creative limits with Minecraft, Fire Tech Camp brings children together and allows them to explore a world which will benefit them in various aspects of their social and academic life.

Jill Hodges, who founded the Fire Tech Camp in 2012, said: ”Today, many of our kids love to consume games, apps and websites but don’t know how they can develop this interest further.

"School lessons cover the basics but simply can’t get under the skin of these technologies in the way that a dedicated camp can.” she elaborated.

“At Fire Tech Camp we immerse kids in their favourite technologies, build their knowledge and inspire and support them to create something they are really proud of and, for some, develop a lifelong fascination with technology.”

With no prior experience of coding needing, Fire Tech Camp, which is running from April 4th to 7th in the Lake District, is open to children of all abilities, so be sure to check it out!
