About
Manor Farm has been a working farm for over 600 years.
Meet Mrs Earwicker, the farmer’s wife, and the other costumed characters who bring the Victorian farm to life. See what’s cooking in her farmhouse kitchen – you may even be able to buy seasonal produce – or watch her doing the washing, beating carpets etc.
Explore the historic buildings and barns, enjoy the free range and other animals, watch traditional farm machinery at work, and take a peek into our old privy!
Nearby 13th century St Bartholomew’s church is worth exploring too. All that remains today is its chancel, which overlooks the farm’s pretty duck pond.
Get close to our smaller residents in our increasingly popular meet the animal’s sessions, held at 2.15pm daily. Meet our baby animals – rabbits, chicks, ducklings, and sometimes other newborns, when they are passed round in a basket to be stroked.
Buy a bag of bird seed from the shop and feed our feathered residents. With hundreds of chickens, ducks, geese and guinea fowl roaming around the farmyard you’re sure to find plenty of hungry beaks to feed.
Join the farmer on a farm walk with a seasonal slant. You’ll find out how a Victorian farm works, see what machinery was used and how to look after the animals – you may even get to help. 11.30am during holidays and weekends.
