Colchester Zoo

Colchester Zoo is constantly developing and has won many awards for its work. Our most recent award being The TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice Attractions Awards, which rated Colchester Zoo as one of the top 20 zoos from around the world and in the top 10 zoos in the UK! With over 270 species to see, set in 60 acres of beautiful parkland and lakes, your day out at Colchester Zoo will be action packed!

 

New enclosures include ‘Bears of the Rising Sun’, a state of the art enclosure which houses two beautiful sun bears , Jo-Jo and Srey Ya and ‘Australian Rainbows’. A new tropical walkthrough which houses a large group of lorikeets offering visitors a chance to feed them a tasty treat of nectar! Plus the new ‘Sensation Station’ where you can have a go at handling some furry friends and scaly species. Future developments are also beginning to take shape with a brand new walkthrough free flying butterfly enclosure expected for 2015!
