A young girl in Buffalo, New York has restored a college student’s faith in humanity.
She was on the bus back from school when the driver hit a car in the car park, trying to squeeze through a tight space.
And although it was just a fender bender, the driver pretended not to notice and carried on with her routine as usual.
But this sixth grader (age 11 or 12) refused to let the hit-and-run culprit get away with it.
She penned a note to the driver of the hit vehicle, which had a hefty dent on the driver’s side by the front tire.
She said: “Bus: 449 hit your car. It stops here every day to drop me off at 5:00pm.
“What happened? She was trying to pull off and hit the car. She hit and run. She tried to veer over and squeeze through but couldn’t.
“She actually squeezed through. She made a dent and I saw what happened. Sorry. Driver seat left door. A lady in the bus driver seat 449, Buffalo public school bus.”

The car’s driver, Andrew Sipowicz, found the note when he returned from class and shared her words on Twitter.
“Shout out to the anonymous 6th grader for saving me a couple thousand (Bus not drawn to scale)”, he wrote.
The note went viral. Andrew was able to contact the school bus company who guaranteed to cover repair costs and provide a rental car in the meantime.
“I would like to meet and thank this girl in person and reward her in some way,” said the university student according to The Independent.

The anonymous girl’s teacher recognised her handwriting and reached out to him on social media.
“We have to go through her school district to find out what would be acceptable or not and to see if there are any rules in place,” he said when asked if he had plans to meet her.
By leaving the note, the sixth-grader was able to save Andrew thousands of dollars, and he is eternally grateful for her kind act.
