Mothercare has issued a voluntary recall on its Loved So Much bouncer.

According to a statement released by the retailer, the bouncer has been recalled due to a risk of injury.

The risk applies to a specific batch of the bouncers, and is said to arise when the equipment has been assembled incorrectly.

A spokesperson explained that there is a risk of the fabric seat unit becoming detached from the frame, which could potentially result in a child falling through.

The affected bouncers were sold in store and online, and bear a batch date of ‘12/2015’ onwards, with a barcode ending in 843611-3.

Those who own a version of the bouncer with an earlier batch date and different barcode can rest assured that theirs has not been affected.

Mothercare’s admin have urged affected customers to stop using their Loved So Much bouncer immediately, and to return it to their local Mothercare store. There, a full refund will be given.

Customers with questions, or those seeking more information are asked to send an email to BouncerEnquiries@mothercare.com. All queries will be answered within 24 hours of being received.
