Mum-of-two, Toni Hammer, has parted with some advice for her daughter and we're in awe of our screens.

Since creating her blog, Is It Bedtime Yet, the mum has had no problem sharing her honest and raw thoughts on parenting.

But the advice she shares in a note to her girl, Lillian, has us wishing the same wisdom was passed onto us at such a young age.

It begins: "Don't apologise when someone else bumps into you. Don't say 'sorry to be such a pain'. You're not a pain. You're a person with thoughts and feelings who deserves respect."

"Don't make up reasons as to why you can't go out with a guy you don't wanna go out with. You don't owe anyone an explanation. A simple 'no thanks' should be acceptable."

Parting with the knowledge that her daughter deserves to be respected for the person she is, the mum wants her to always know that you should never have to apologise for being you, no matter what society demands.

Toni requests that Lillian never overthink her food choices, that she keeps her hair the way she wants it, not what others want her to have, and if she doesn't want to wear a dress - Mum reckons - don't wear the dress.

"Don't stay home because you don't have anyone to go out with. Take yourself out. Have experiences by yourself and for yourself."

"Don't hold back your tears. Crying means you're feeling something that needs to get out. It's not a weakness. It's being human," adds the mum-of-two.

To my daughter, . Don't apologize when someone else bumps into you. . Don't say "sorry to be such a pain." You're not a pain. You're a person with thoughts and feelings who deserves respect. . Don't make up reasons as to why you can't go out with a guy you don't wanna go out with. You don't owe anyone an explanation. A simple "no thanks" should be acceptable. . Don't overthink what you eat in front of people. If you're hungry, eat, and eat what you want. If you want pizza, don't get a salad just because other people are around. Order the damn pizza. . Don't keep your hair long to make someone else happy. . Don't wear a dress if you don't want to. . Don't stay home because you don't have anyone to go out with. Take yourself out. Have experiences by yourself and for yourself. . Don't hold back your tears. Crying means you're feeling something that needs to get out. It's not a weakness. It's being human. . Don't smile because someone told you to. . Don't be afraid to laugh at your own jokes. . Don't say "yes" to be polite. Say "no" because it's your life. . Don't hide your opinions. Speak up and speak loudly. You should be heard. . Don't apologize for being who you are. Be brave and bold and beautiful. Be unapologetically you. . #parentlife #parenting #momlife #stronggirl #strongwoman #daughtergoals #daughters #momanddaughtergoals #momanddaughter #strongwoman #strongwomen #motherhood #motherhoodlife #motherhooduncut

Asking her little girl to laugh at her own jokes, smile whenever she wants to, be polite but know how to say 'no', and never hide her opinions, Toni believes her daughter has the power: "Because it's your life."

"Speak up and speak loudly. You should be heard. Don't apologise for being who you are. Be brave and bold and beautiful."

"Be unapologetically you."

The most beautiful advice we have heard in a while - we're definitely sharing this with our little ones.
