Wow.

Single mum Morgan King is currently studying at the University of Tennessee, but had to miss class recently after she failed to find childcare for her daughter, Korbyn

Morgan emailed her lecturer Dr. Sally Hunter to explain her absence, and was surprised when she read Dr. Hunter's response.

Starting off, the lecturer says she is sorry to hear Morgan's reason for missing class before telling the mum-of-one where she can get the notes from the lecture.

But that's not the best bit.

It's what the teacher says after that has us welling up.

“In the future, if you are having trouble finding someone to watch Korbyn, please feel free to just BRING HER with you to class,” she wrote.

“I would be absolutely delighted to hold her while I teach so that you can still pay attention to the class and take notes.

"I work for the Department of CHILD and FAMILY Studies — so how terrible would it be if I were unwilling to have a child visit our class?"

Morgan posted the email to Twitter to show how thankful she is for the response, and it has gone viral for all the right reasons.

And Dr. Hunter certainly meant what she said, if this tweet is anything to go by.

If only all teachers were this understanding.
