Mum-of-two Emma chronicles her life as a farmer's wife and being a mother to her four-year-old daughter and baby boy in her blog, Farmer’s Wife and Mummy.

A journalist for ten years, Emma admits her blog – where she writes about life as a mum - helps her to stay sane.

But it’s not just her day-to-day activities that she blogs about, Emma also writes honest reviews on products and day outs, shares tasty recipes and offers insightful tips on everyday parenting.

A truly wonderful blog, we were delighted when Emma took the time out to have a chat with us:

1. What is the most important thing you have learned since becoming a mum?

Everything doesn't have to be perfect: your kids won't notice if you haven't straightened your hair or washed the breakfast dishes (since last Tuesday...).

2. What's the most ridiculous/hilarious/unbelievable thing your child has done?

Once my little girl hid my car keys so well it resulted in me having to take a day off work. They were found, mid-afternoon behind a plant pot in the garden.

3. What's the weirdest thing you've said/done as a parent?

I once found myself saying: "Look, Daddy is eating his dinner like a good boy".

4. Name one thing you do that helps keep you sane?

Blogging. It is cheaper than therapy.

5. What is the best piece of advice you would give to other mums?

To always trust your instinct - you will almost always be right.

6. If you had to choose just one thing that you absolutely love about being a mum, what would it be?

It definitely has to be the fact that I am the most popular person in the house. Who needs a fan club when mummy is chanted so many times in one day?!
