Well this is certainly not a sight you see every day: a mum walking her kids to school wearing a T-Rex costume.

Mum-of-two Leslie Eggenberger wanted to show her kids that it doesn’t matter what people think about you, and decided that walking them to school in a T-Rex costume was the best way to do it.

Talking to Fox35, the mum explained how her second grader had begged her to wear the outfit and, being the awesome mum that she is, Leslie didn’t hesitate to put it on.

In fact, the kids in the class begged her to put it on again when she went to collect seven boys for her son’s birthday party.

Leslie was captured on camera by another mum on the school run, who then posted it to social media where it went viral.

Delighted that other parents now get a chance to see the costume, she hopes that it will encourage them to have fun with their kids.

"I hope a lot of people actually, you know, maybe show it to their kids and just do things like that with their kids because this is also what our kids are going to remember," she explained.

"You know, these silly memories that we make together.”
