Awh!

A mum has posted the sweetest video on feel-good Facebook page Love What Matters of her mum’s last day of chemotherapy.

In the uplifting footage, the thrilled mum is sung to by a group of nurses at Stanford Hospital as she dances happily in celebration.

“We’ll have to find another to poke with all our needles, hey now, hey now, the chemo’s done!” the nurses sing, tongues firmly in cheek.

The mum’s proud daughter posted the wonderful video to encourage women not to overlook the importance of mammograms.

“Recently, my mother endured her last chemo,” she wrote. “The video is a celebratory song and dance delivered by her amazing nurses at Stanford. To celebrate the end of chemo, my mother implored people to get mammograms.

“As such, I am asking you today to please get a mammogram if you haven't already this year. An annual mammogram helped save my mom's life. Earlier this year she was diagnosed with cancer.

“My mom doesn't smoke or drink, and is otherwise in good health. Plus, she (and my grandmother) both tested negative for carrying the breast cancer gene.

“Mammograms save lives because they can lead to early detection and less invasive surgeries. Please don't roll the dice; get checked out as soon as possible.”

Awh bless! We have to admit to having a bit of a cry when they all lean in for a group hug at the end – SO moving.

Well done mama, we’re in awe of your strength.
