While we may not have prom here in Ireland, we certainly understand the importance of the big day.
So we can't help but gush over this adorable story of a prom proposal that will melt your heart!
With the help of Doritos, Shaedon asked his best friend's sister, Carlie, who has Down syndrome, to prom in the cheesiest way imaginable.
Posted on the Love What Matters Facebook page, Shaedon Wedel, wrote how he has known Carlie for seven years, and she has brought nothing but joy to his life.
"Knowing her for seven years now, she's brought nothing but joy to my life," he wrote on the page.
"Anyone who's ever around her, she makes them laugh, she always has a smile on her face. She's amazing."
So he decided to make her smile by wearing a very special T-shirt which asked Carlie to prom in the most genius way possible.
The front reads: "I know I'm NACHO typical Dorito, but..."
And on the back is: "...I'm going to be CHEESY and ask: WILL YOU GO TO PROM WITH ME?"
