Anyone who has been through the education system knows only too well that homework is the bane of a child’s existence. When they get home from school, all they want to do is hang loose, play, and have fun with their friends.

Well, it seems that the tech revolution of recent years has sparked a change – and now parents are finding it easier to get their children to do their homework exercises than switch off their tech devices.

The alarming finding comes from a poll carried out by the charity Action for Children among parents in the UK.

The poll results showed that a quarter of parents encounter difficulties when it comes to controlling their child’s screen time, whereas only 10% of mums and dads find it difficult to get their little ones to do homework.

Commenting on the findings, charity representative Carol Iddon said: “Technology is an often necessary part of the lives of children and parents alike, but it’s important to maintain a balance with other activities and quality family time.”
