Hasbro has launched the 2014 toy line with Spider-Strike technology to celebrate the release of The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
In the film, the web-slinging super hero squares off against a powerful new villain, Electro and now kids can fend off pretend villains with their very own motorized spider force web blaster.
The Spider Force Web Blaster is built using Nerf technology fit for a hero's rapid-fire reflexes Kids simply load the foam discs into the motorized chamber, take aim and fire. The web blaster automatically loads the next shot, so kids can keep blasting targets over 20 feet away.
However, if you don’t fancy spending your days dodging foam discs, then action figures might be a better alternative.
There are four different types of action figures to choose from: Spider Strike Web Wing Spider-Man figure, Spider Strike Power Charged Electro figure, Spider Strike Shock Surge Spider-Man figure and Spider Strike Blade Arrow Spider-Man figure.
Each miniature figure has its own individual super power including a web wing and a blade arrow that snaps out to transform it into a battle bow. The Spider Strike Shock Surge figure lights up and glows for a fierce battle while the Strike Slash Gauntlet figure has twin blades that pop out of a gauntlet when attached to its back.
Each Spider-Man figure is priced at £8.99 while the Web Force Blaster is priced at £21.99. All toys are suitable for ages 4 years and up and are available from Smyths toys and all good retailers.
