There are only a handful of weeks to go until Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tie the knot at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. We must admit that we are ridiculously excited about the big day; Meghan and Harry are the closest thing we have to a real-life Disney couple.
Our minds are buzzing with questions about Harry and Meghan’s wedding day. What will her dress look like? Will The Spice Girls really perform at the event? Will Princess Eugenie share snaps from the special occasion on her new Instagram account?
We can’t help but wonder who will walk Meghan down the aisle, seeing as the former actress has a strained relationship with both her dad and her brother.
Meghan has rebelled against numerous royal traditions in the past, including hugging members of the public, and she wanted to do the exact same on her wedding day.
According to The Sun, the Suits actress hoped that her mum would walk her down the aisle, however, the Royal Family were not too pleased with this suggestion.
Apparently, they dismissed the suggestion as it does not follow their rules and regulations, but power to Meghan for expressing her opinion.
Despite her best efforts, it looks like her mum will miss out on walking her daughter down the aisle. However, it looks like one very special member of the family has stepped in and saved the day.
A source told The Sun that Meghan’s future brother-in-law Prince William may be walking her down the aisle on May 19.
William and Harry share such a special and close-bond so we think Meghan would be honoured if he gave her away.
Speaking of his relationship with his brother, William admitted that they grew closer following the sudden death of their mum Princess Diana.
“Our relationship is closer than it's been because of the situation we've been through. Losing our mother at a young age it's helped us travel through that difficult patch together,” William admitted.
We will just have to sit tight and wait to see who will give Meghan away on May 19. The countdown is well and truly underway!
