A school in Delaware has been left mortified after a staff member accidentally sent out a ‘gag’ report card appearing to mock the parents of their pupils.

According to reports, an employee at Lombardy Elementary School was sending out a form detailing forthcoming school events when they mistakenly sent out the tongue-in-cheek ‘hurt feelings report’.

As you can see above, the report is particularly offensive, referring to the parents as ‘whiners’ and containing insulting language.

With parents understandably annoyed by the email, the school has been forced to apologise for what it has described as an ‘embarrassing mistake’.

“The attachment was something that had been sent to them from a person external to the school. It was not an official document of Lombardy Elementary or the Brandywine School District. This was an embarrassing mistake, but it was just that – a mistake. It should not have happened, and we apologise for the error,” an official statement read.
