Congratulations are in order today for Scrubs star Sarah Chalke, who is expecting her second child with fiancé Jamie Afifi.
The star – best known for playing Elliot in the much-loved comedy – confirmed the news to People magazine via her official representative.
Sarah and Jamie, an entertainment lawyer, are already parents to six-year-old son Charlie Rhodes.
The pair had drama early on in little Charlie’s life, when he was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease – an illness that leads to inflammation in a child’s blood vessels.
Ever since, Sarah has dedicated her time to educating parents around the world on the illness; this included a cameo in medical drama Grey’s Anatomy.
Sarah’s baby announcement is a very timely and coincidental one, as she is currently on the promotional trail for her new movie, Mother’s Day! Sarah forms part of a star-studded cast including Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston and Kate Hudson, with the movie scheduled for release at the end of this month.
