It certainly has not been a good few days for popular celebrity chef and doting dad-of-four Jamie Oliver.

According to reports this weekend, the star’s production company has been threatened with legal action after secretly filming children being bullied at a Welsh school, for a new television programme.

Hidden-camera footage of an unidentified girl – thought to be between 12 and 13 – being bullied is said to have been captured for a new ITV programme called Bullying, which is billed to show the secret life of a young bullying victim.

Fresh One Productions, which is owned by Jamie Oliver, is said to be responsible for fitting the young girl with the hidden camera – and failing to inform staff at Corpus Christi High RC School of the move.

School management only found out about the secret filming when they were shown ‘very emotional’ footage of the bullying, later being informed that it would be appearing on the ITV show.

Parents at the school were also issued a letter by Oliver’s company, in which they were given three phone numbers to call if they had concerns about the show.

Now, in a public statement, the school’s head teacher and chair of governors have condemned the move, revealing that they are seeking legal action.

“The school community is shocked and upset that hidden cameras were brought into our school without our knowledge or permission and used to covertly film our pupils. The school is receiving legal advice from the City of Cardiff Council and we are monitoring the ongoing situation very carefully,” read the statement.
