Jayne Hardy's little girl, Peggy,  was starting school earlier this week, and she, like everyone else in the same situation, was feeling a bit nervous.

Peggy's new teacher was well aware that many of her little pupils would be feeling a little overwhelmed, and decided to do something to help them feel more relaxed.

The teacher sent all of her pupils some 'Jitter Glitter' and a special poem about how the glitter will help with nerves, and how much she was looking forward to meeting them.

"The day before school we all get the jitters down deep, making it really hard for us to fall asleep. So here is some Jitter Glitter, it's really quite cool. It's something to help you be rested and ready for school.

"Just sprinkle the glitter under your pillow in bed, the night before school starts when you lay down your head. The glitter will help you sleep through the night, letting you wake up feeling fresh and bright."

Taking to Twitter, Jayne shared the teacher's very sweet gesture, writing: "Peggy is starting school this week and has just received a letter from her teacher with a bag of 'Jitter Glitter' to put under her pillow to help with any nerves she might have. I can't get over how thoughtful this is."

Such a simple but incredibly sweet gesture. We're sure all the kids felt that little bit better heading off to school this week.
