We can’t help crying at this beautiful video.

Beloved teacher Ben Ellis is battling cancer, so the entire student body and faculty of his school came to his house to sing to him.

The powerful footage sees Ben stand at an upstairs window while over 400 teachers and pupils sing the hymn “Holy Spirit” while standing in his front garden.

Tim, who teaches Latin at the Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville, Texas, sang along with the huge congregation, no doubt incredibly moved by the wonderful gesture.

According to teacher Lesley Ponder, singing for Tim was a spontaneous decision.

“I am a teacher at this school and blessed to call Ben a friend,” she wrote on Facebook. “This was a spur of the moment decision to go… Students were in the middle of class, some taking quizzes and tests... and dropped everything for a bigger lesson on life, love, community, compassion.”

The emotional video was shared on US country singer Tim McGraw’s Facebook page.

“A friend sent this to me today,” he wrote. “Ben Ellis is a Nashville area high school teacher battling cancer. The entire student body (400+ students plus HS faculty) drove to his house to worship with him. Our thoughts and Prayers are with him and his family. So precious and kind.”

And parents of the children at the school were just as moved by this amazing show of love and support.

“There are more sweet details to this story!” said mum Shannon Lee Seibert.

“Our children attend CPA and my high schooler LOVES Mr Ellis, he was her Latin teacher for 2 years. We ALL love Mr. Ellis and his precious family. The kids were giving back to him some of the love he has given to them.

“He is the definition of a teacher, a role model, a servant. He wrote the kids a letter telling them he is even more certain now that God is Good and with us. And Ben is full of hope, joy, and peace.”

We have goosepimples! Wow, just wow.
