We love this story.

Jasmine Basham is a school bus aide and works with special needs kids.

Recently, she shared a story on Facebook, involving an 18-year-old with autism and his teddy, and it is incredibly heartwarming.

We all know just how tough school can be, so Jasmine wasn’t surprised when she saw the teenager bring the teddy on to the bus for his first day of summer school.

The toy provided the boy with comfort, but he was not able to take the bear into school - they have a strict policy in place that restricts bringing in items from home.

The teen was used to bringing the bear to his other school and Jasmine was well aware that some children with autism can struggle with change, so she decided to do something.

Thinking ahead, the school aide came up with a genius plan to help alleviate any tension that would arise when it came to leaving the bus.

Explaining on her Facebook post, she wrote: “One of my students had a hard time in the beginning not being able to take his teddy bear into school.

“It’s his comfort zone. So I told him he could leave him on the bus and I will keep him buckled in and watch over him while he is in school.

“The first day he came onto the bus and I told him how me and Mr. Bear spent all day shopping and bought him a near pair of swim trunks.”

Jasmine’s little trick did the job, and the next day the teenager buckled his toy into the seat and at the end of the day asked once again: "What did you and Mr. Bear do today?!"

“I told him how we went to a water park and what we ate,” Jasmine wrote.

“Now everyday he looks forward to hearing about me and Mr. Bear adventures and does not have a hard time going into school and leaving him behind.”

We love this.
