In an age where kids are exposed to so much we can’t monitor, mainly thanks to social media and the internet, it is only right that schools are keeping an eye out for what is appropriate in the classroom.

However, we can’t help but think that the teachers in this school are taking things just a little bit too far.

A couple were left surprised and frustrated when they received a letter home, informing them that their daughter’s Wonder Woman lunchbox was wholly inappropriate for school.

The letter read: “We noticed that Laura has a Wonder Woman lunchbox that features a super hero image. In keeping with the dress code of the school, we must ask that she not bring this to school.”

The reason behind this puzzling move? The scene on the lunchbox is ‘violent’, apparently.

“The dress code we have established requests that the children not bring violent images into the building in any fashion – on their clothing…backpacks and lunchboxes. We have defined ‘violent characters’ as those who solve problems using violence. Super heroes certainly fall into that category,” the letter read.

Given that the image above was about as bad as the so-called ‘violence’ of the scene depicted on the lunchbox got, we can certainly see why these parents were so frustrated by the move.
