Jamie Oliver revealed this week that he and wife Jools have had to hire a night nurse due to the ‘torture’ of sleepless nights with a newborn, but we reckon someone should put them in contact with entrepreneur Hanna Sissala.

The Finnish mum is being credited with inventing the ultimate solution for sending a baby off to sleep: a self-rocking mattress.

Hanna came up with the idea for her invention after suffering one too many sleepless nights with her baby son.

Wrecked tired and unable to find any product to help her in her struggle, Hanna decided to invent her own creation: the Familings Baby Mattress.

Hanna wanted to make the mattress as ‘safe as possible’, and so as well as being self-rocking it also features a ‘breathable’ design that lets air in and out in cases where Baby falls asleep face-down.

Once her product was ready, Hanna decided to try it out on her little one – and the results were amazing.

“Before the mattress he only slept 10-minute naps. He woke up tired and crying, and we were stressed. After we got the mattress, he slept 45 minutes and woke up smiling because he had slept enough,” she explained.

The Familings Baby Mattress is set to feature in the famous upcoming Kind + Jugend fair in Germany.

Is this something you would consider trying with your baby?
