Unicorn hair is an actual thing and after seeing it on Mel Watt's young daughter, we kind of want it for ourselves.
Taking to her Instagram page, mum-of-four Mel shared a photo of her daughter, Ivie, with purple streaks in her hair, admitting that her little girl has been begging her for ages for it.
"Today we coloured her hair," Mel wrote under the photo.
"She's about as happy as a rabbit in a carrot field. She also feels like she looks like a mermaid, hence the fish lips."
The five-year-old looks absolutely adorable in the photo, with her striking blue eyes and hilarious fish lips.
In the comments section, Mel explained that she used Lime Crime, a certified vegan and cruelty-free product, to colour Ivie's hair, and that it would wash out in a few weeks.
"School photos are in a few weeks.... it should be out by then," the mum explained to a followerer who asked how long it would be in for.
And if the comments are anything to go by we'll be seeing plenty more kids and adults alike sporting some funky unicorn hair.
"Gorgeous! I want to do this to my own hair," wrote one.
Another said: "We did the same to my 3 & 6 yr olds hair in school hols, I’ve never seen them happier! Thought they were real live mermaids [sic]".
