Like a lot of us, Twitter user @MissPotkin got up yesterday and just did not want to go to work.

So the London woman was happy when she found a reason to delay her jaunt to the office.

She spotted a man struggling to push a pram up onto the pavement. So she offered to lend a hand.

Expecting a ‘thank you’, what she got was decidedly less grateful: “yeah, cool, I need to get up the road.”

Taken aback by the man’s audacity, she replied that she’d help him up the pavement, but that would be all.

Helping to hoist the pram up, she then took a look inside. The contents? A bag of cement!

Then things just got ridiculous.

“Oh, I thought you had a baby in here,” she said. The man didn’t acknowledge her comment, but rather asked her to “move a bit faster.”

Yes. Really!

With the ‘fake cement baby’ on the pavement, the woman starts to walk away, at which point the man reiterates his need to get “up the road.”

Stunned, she told him she had a job to get to. His response? “Bitch.”

Then, she asked him what his problem was, and he said “you” – before losing it, at top volume!

Suddenly, an audience starts to gather around – just in time to hear the man bemoan the fact that “as soon as there is f**king work involved, you f**k off! Well f**k off then! I can walk it up myself.”

Then he said something so awful we can’t repeat it. All this in front of horrified passersby, who naturally enough presumed that they’d just stumbled upon a particularly nasty domestic spat between a loving dad and his horrible, unfeeling wife and baby mama.

As she tweeted later: “This is what the crowd is thinking: WORST. MOTHER. EVER.”

Keen to defend herself, she ended up making things that bit worse, responding loudly that:

She then tried to explain herself, but was interrupted by a woman in the crowd telling her that if she “can’t look after them, don’t have them!”

In the end, she just said a very-polite-considering goodbye to the cement-baby-man and walked off.

Well, it didn't look like she was going to get a fair trial, did it?!

What a morning for all involved. It gave us a serious laugh though!
