The parents of a toddler who was bitten by another child in nursery have spoken of their frustration after his expulsion.

Furious Stacey Morris has criticised the bosses of a nursery in Lancashire, England, for their actions, after they banned her 14-month-old son Lewis from attending their pre-school.

Ms Morris says she went in to speak with bosses at the nursery after discovering that little Lewis had been bitten three times in six months.

After threatening to refer the matter to school regulatory body Ofsted, Ms Morris says that the pre-school owners banned Lewis from attending their establishment, citing their ‘zero tolerance approach to threats and intimidation’ as the reason behind their decision.

Speaking to the Bolton News, the mum-of-two said: “I am hurt now that my innocent son’s routine will be in uproar as he was very happy at [the nursery] and settled with the staff in his room.”

“I feel I have been unfairly treated because they are unable to control another child’s behaviour,” she added.

Responding to Ms Morris’ allegations, owner of the nursery Mrs Green said: “We do not exclude a family for nothing and we welcome parents’ feedback to help us improve and deal with things to the best of our ability.”
