It's an unspoken truth of parenthood - we all know potty training our little ones can turn into quite the ordeal.

Even celebs can't escape the struggle that is getting our kids to use the loo. Izzy Judd just started potty training her and Harry's two-year-old daughter Lola and is finding it more than a little difficult.

It may only be day four on their potty training quest, but Izzy took to Instagram to ask for help from other parents: "Ok friends, hit me with your potty training tips.

"All advice welcome, we are currently day four and the big loo is more successful than the potty so following Lola’s lead with that."

"She seems scared to let go but knows she needs to go," the former Escala violinist wrote, "The potty dance is helping me keep my sense of humour! All advice and tips welcome!"

Mums and dads alike were more than happy to comment with their own advice on help toddlers feel comfortable using the toilet.

One parent told Izzy to stay the course with her current methods for potty training Lola: "Carry on doing what you're doing and follow her lead. If you feel she's not getting it, just stop and try again in a few months."

Another said not to force it and said the mum-of-two should delay potty training if Lola is still scared about using the toilet. They wrote, "Leave it as long as possible before doing it. They will only do it when they are ready, not when we want them to."

"What worked for me was skipping the potty and letting them us the toilet with the help of a little step," a parent recommended.

One Instagram user got very creative with their potty training methods, writing: "We let her pick her own knickers each morning and made sure we got colourful ones... and we made a sticker chart with some super sparkly stickers. Every successful trip to the potty got a sticker and we never told her off for an accident."

We are so impressed!

No word yet on what potty training school of thought Izzy has decided to follow, but we wish her and Lola the best during the at times loo-dicrous process.
