Take off your make-up
Not solely for winter time, this is an evening ritual that needs to be adhered to. Otherwise you will just end up with clogged pores and plenty of blackheads. Remember, cleanse, tone and moisturise before getting into bed each night.
Leave blemishes alone
Whatever you do, don't pop any pimples or try to scrape off blackheads. While they might look unsightly now, it you do try to squeeze them they will look ten times worse and you will end up damaging your skin.

Keep your hands off your face. Not only will this stop you catching airborne viruses, but your hands are home to hundreds of germs that you don't want on your face.
