We have some very sad and disturbing news to share this afternoon, as it has been reported that a student has died following a stabbing incident in a classroom in Aberdeen, Scotland.
According to reports, a male pupil from Cults Academy was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being stabbed in a walkway area of the school earlier today.
The incident is understood to have taken place just before 1:30pm today. Five police cars, a riot van and an ambulance arrived on the scene shortly after, and a young male has reportedly been detained by authorities.
We can confirm one male pupil has been taken to ARI with serious injuries following an incident at Cults Academy. Next of kin are aware.

In a statement released by local police, a spokeswoman said: “I can confirm that Police Scotland are in attendance following reports of a serious incident at Cults Academy. Police were called to the scene at 1:30pm and are still at the scene.”
“Inquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing and officers will remain at the scene for the time being. Next of kin are aware,” she added.
In the past 20 minutes, it was alleged that the as yet unidentified pupil had lost his life.
