Trying to conceive is tough for many of us, but you'll come out the other side with a wealth of knowledge.

If you're trying for a baby, here are a few things you'll know:

A 'fat day' is a reason to smile

Yes, once upon a time gaining an extra two pounds sent you running to the gym (and then to the vending machine to make you feel better about the fact it did no good). But once you start trying for a baby, an ounce of excess flesh means that you could be...maybe...preggers.

The big 'O' means something very different...

Didn't you know, these days the big 'O' stands for ovulation, not orgasm?!

...you'll stop caring about that other 'O'

Yep, nowadays, the priority numero uno on the sex front is that it's gravity friendly.

You'll start speaking in acronyms

"Yeah, so I started TTC (trying to conceive) a few weeks ago, so I'm taking this PVN (prenatal vitamin). Really hoping to see a change in my CF (cervical fluid) soon!"

You'll become super-alert to any bodily changes. ANY.

Yep, if your stomach so much as rumbles, you'll stop whatever you're doing - even eating that Creme Egg - and wonder if it's early nausea.

And if you need to pee more at night, well surely that's a fertilised egg pushing down on your bladder!

Oh, you'll start fondling yourself...

Your boobs, at least. After all, sore or swollen breasts are a clear indication that you're expecting...

You'll hate getting your period...like, really hate it!

Okay, so you never really too excited about that time of the month, but you'll come to truly dread it when you're TTC. It's like the red devil sitting on your shoulder saying 'better luck next time, sucker!'

You'll wonder why there are babies literally everywhere

Yep, you're that obsessed that babies and all things related to babies are pretty much all you can see.

You'll start spending less...

From folic acid tablets and multivitamins, to ovulation kits and pregnancy tests, this conceiving business ain't cheap!

...and start sharing more. WAY more.

Not just with your friends, but with your potential baby daddy. Speaking of which, you might want to lay off the chat about your cervical mucous if you want him to keep trying.

Yes, it could indicate you're finally ovulating. No, he doesn't have to know about it!

SHARE if you can totally relate!
