Kristin and Jen have answered the question that many have pondered for years: Why are there no mums in Disney movies?

The two mums at imomsohard, were chatting about their daughters, tiaras and princess dresses when they stumbled upon the topic.

And who knew they would hilariously throw several instances into perspective for us!

While they discuss their favourite and most tragic movies, the pair make perfect sense of the reality of Disney.

After pondering the debacle, Kristin states: "I thought mums died because they just complicate the story."

"Like, seriously, if a mum was in a story that was 90 minutes long, she is going to come in and clean that sucker up in seven minutes."

And let's face it, she's not wrong.

Giving us some examples, the ladies explain how a mum would react if their children were faced with these situations and we cannot cope.

Speaking about Aladdin, Kristin reacts: "Oh Jasmine, you think you're going to go on a magic carpet ride with this guy? Let me tell you something, if you rub his lamp, it is NOT a genie that comes out."

And as for Elsa's behaviour in Frozen, well, Jen has her say on how a mum would handle it: "Elsa, you will get out of that room. You're going to have to deal with this."

"Put on your gloves. Suck it up. Don't touch your sister. You have to go to soccer practise, we'll pack you full of pads and anti-freezing devices."

The mums come together to agree they do want their girls to be princesses, however, they also want them to be realistic and know that a prince will not make everything better, they can do that on their own terms.

"I want her to be a princess, with an advanced degree and a love of travel, and when she meets a nice guy in her mid-twenties, he will make her life a little brighter and more romantic."

"But if he was gone, you know, she'd still go wake-boarding," added Kristin.

The friends come together to realise they are both avid fans of Mary Poppins because 'she doesn't take shit from no one' and she gets things done, believing she's a great example.

The conversation is one of the funniest, real-truths, we have come across in a while and we can't thank these mums enough for this - hilarious.
