Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live about finding out whether she is having a boy or a girl, the 35-year-old actress said: “We are gonna be surprised... It's more fun! Make it into a game!"”
And while it is clear that the soon-to-be first-time-mum is ecstatic about her impending arrival, she admits that there are a few things she misses now that she is pregnant, most notably food!
She said: "You can't eat so many things if you're pregnant! If I was vegan, I'd just be like [confused face]..."
"You can't have sushi, you can't have cheese that tastes good,” she added:
But it’s not just food that the Elf star is missing, coffee and alcohol are on her list as well!
"You can have a little bit [of coffee], but I would have like four cups a day, and now I can have half of a cup which is a total joke. You can't have alcohol, I miss that - I like wine!”, she jokingly said.
She is not the only Deschanel to be expecting right now; her sister, Bones star Emily, is also pregnant with her second child and we can’t wait to see what names the siblings choose.
