Why oily-proned mums should start using blotting paper

Usually thought of as being just for teenagers with spotty skin, you will be surprised by just how beneficial blotting paper is for adults. Handy to pop in your handbag and fairly inexpensive, here are three reasons why you should give it a try. 

 

1. Absorbs oil over make-up

There is nothing worse than getting to 3pm only to realise your foundation is starting to slide. And while loose powder is great at getting rid of the shine, blotting paper can actually absorb the oil without you having to take off your make-up.

 

2. They won’t dry the skin

While tempting, drying out your skin is just going to make it worse. And the best things about blotting paper is that it is great at soaking up oil without drying the skin.

 

 

3. Helps set your make-up

Most of us would use a loose powder to set our foundation, but for some it can cause our skin to look really dry over time. However, blotting paper can actually work in the same way by removing the oil from your make-up without leaving a dry powder over it.
