Polish born Canadian tween Olivia Oliver is out to break a world record, and she wants to share her achievement with the world.

Olivia is going to attempt to break the world record for the fastest spin while ice skating. The record is currently held by Natalia Kanounnikova, whose 2006 record stands at 308 rotations in a minute.

In a recent practice, Olivia passed 300 rotations. Amazingly, the 11-year-old only learned to skate four years ago.

Olivia’s record attempt will take place in Warsaw in late November, as part of a fundraising gala. The event will raise money for her parent’s charity Fundacja Dziecieca Fantazja, which grants the wishes of terminally ill children in Pland.

Olivia spoke to press about her attempt, and how she is able to spin so fast.

"I have to find the right spot on my blade to spin," Olivia told reporters. "Once I find that spot, I know it and I squeeze. I pull myself all together as fast as I can and that makes me go much faster."

“I see blur around the whole ice. It’s like I’m lightheaded or something. it feels really weird sometimes.  Sometimes it feels normal because I do it a lot.”

“I sometimes look at my hands. I don’t look at anything else around me otherwise I would have been like, ‘Whoa, what’s going on?'” she said.
