Dallan Cloward from Arizona was born with Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome. A developmental disorder, it leads to delayed growth and intellectual disabilities.

Dallan weighs less than four stone, he can’t speak and is unable to walk long distances.

In fact, it was a miracle that he learned to walk at all.

“One of his true miracles was he learned to walk at age 14,” his dad Chad wrote on Facebook. “Almost all kids with this syndrome don’t ever even sit up.”

More incredible again is the fact that Dallan wasn’t expected to live past his second birthday. Yet on August 12th, he’ll be turning 30.

To mark the amazing milestone, dad Chad wants to give his son the best birthday ever. Chad came up with a few ideas himself but turned to Facebook for more ideas, and got hundreds of suggestions.

He narrowed the activities list down, but it’s still got an impressive 30 awesome things on it.

“I have no idea how long I have left with him,” Chad told Today. “So I’m just trying to make the most of it.”

The pair have already embarked on their epic adventure. They kicked things off on June 27th driving to the Grand Canyon for a spot of hiking and camping. Still on their to-do list is a stop-off in Disneyland, a ride in an ultralight plane and a trek to Mexico.

But here’s some of what they’ve done so far…

Marvelling at the Grand Canyon

Rocking the rollercoaster

Dallan’s first adaptive bike ride

Cruising the West Coast
