However, it looks like they could very well be in for a surprise.
As mum and dad to 12 sons (yes, you read that correctly) the Schwandts are fully expecting another baby boy – but they’re leaving it until the birth to find out!
Mum Kateri, from Michigan, has insisted that they have vowed not to find out the sex of the baby, but said that she “would go into shock” if she gave birth to a girl this time around.
Speaking to their local paper, The Grand Rapids Press, husband Jay said: "I've experienced all the boy stuff. As long as we are having all these children, it would be really neat to experience the other side.”
Giving an insight into what life is like in a household of 12 little boys, he added: "The stuff that goes on in this house is all-boy — roughhousing and wrestling. If there was a little girl in there, I assume it would be different."
With baby number 13 due next May, we will be glued to the story to see if the family finally welcomes a girl.
